As a risk management consultant at Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, Jonathan Wackrow advises leading corporations’ CEOs, Boards of Directors and management teams on issues related to crisis preparedness planning and response and enterprise security risk management, to include risk intelligence, critical infrastructure protection, physical security, executive protection, and crisis management procedures. Concurrent to his advisory services, Jonathan is also the Global Head of Security for Teneo.
Jonathan is also an exclusive Law Enforcement Analyst for CNN, providing on-air analysis of law enforcement, security and risk management matters for domestic and international events. He is regularly heard on NPR and quoted in The Washington Post, The New York Times, Politico, and other national publications.
As a nationally recognized expert on law enforcement matters, security policies and procedures, and governance, Jonathan regularly presents at corporate conferences and the annual conferences for national and international trade organizations. In addition to speaking engagements, Jonathan is an executive board member of the ASIS Executive Protection Council; ASIS is the world's largest association for security professionals.
Jonathan spent the majority of his professional career in the United States Secret Service, serving as a criminal investigator, and was assigned to the Presidential Protection Division in Washington, DC.
As a Special Agent assigned to the President’s detail, he managed numerous high-level security operations both in the United States and abroad while assigned to the protection of the President and First Lady of the United States.
Jonathan is a graduate of Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and the United States Secret Service Academy. Jonathan lives in New Jersey with his wife of 19 years and their three children.
Drawing upon his extensive experience in law enforcement, coupled with his philosophy on security risk management and deep understanding of critical business drivers in multiple industries, Jonathan delivers bespoke presentations to meet the needs of the audience and organization.
Jonathan has been the keynote speaker for top tier companies and organizations both domestically and abroad on topics including crisis management and communications, leadership, threat assessments and risk intelligence, planning and managing security for large- scale events, physical and cyber security convergence, emergency management, executive protection and risk governance.
CHARITABLE ENGAGEMENT
Jonathan and his family volunteer with the March of Dimes. Inspired by the strength and resilience of Jonathan’s daughter, Taylor, who was born 12 weeks premature and struggling to survive, the family formed Team Taylor Tot to raise support for the March for Babies Campaign. Today, Jonathan, his wife, and entire family raise money and awareness to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. To date, Team Taylor Tot has raised over $175,000.
